Watercolor II Texture Set

20 High-Resolution Textures (JPEG & PNG)

Earlier this week I got into a messy, artsy mood and pulled out my watercolors to create some fun new textures for my store. There’s something about splotches, spills, messy colors, and organic elements of the paper that make these types of textures some of my favorites! All are hand-painted by yours truly and scanned in at a very high resolution.

    Hi Nicole!

    They look absolutely adorable!!

How do you use them – for photography or how…? Can you show examples of them in use?

    Kind regards!

Thanks a lot for your answer, Nicole – they are really nice!!

If I want to make something similar to use for some invitations in combination with photos, do I get it right that I can do it like this:
    – paint watercolour on paper
    – scan the painting
    – use the scanned document in Photoshop (how do I do it as an overlay?)

By the way – congratulations on your second edition of Food Photography. I got it (the first edition) all the way to Denmark and believe it or not, it has been my ‘coffee table go to reading book’ for a very long time now. I absolutely love your way of going at things!!

Oh, and one more question I have been wanting to ask photo pro people like you for a long time;-) Do you use your DSLR pictures or mobile phone pictures for Instagram (and what about other social medias?)?

Which camera do you have now?

    Kind regards;-)

For Instagram, I pretty much use SLR (non-iPhone photos). I will either sync the photos from Lightroom CC using the Lightroom app for mobile, or I will use the WiFi feature on my camera to transfer it to my iPhone.

Right now I am primarily shooing with the Canon 5DMkIII, Canon 6D, and Fuji X-T1. :)

    Thanks for your kind help!

I al/was very interested in Canon 6D (am currently on 60D), but I keep hoping that the 6D mrk. II will come soon (or at least within a years time…).

What do you think of the 6D?
Do you think is´t is worth waiting the 6D mrk. II for the hopefully improved AF system?
Which do you prefer – 6D or 5D mark. III (and why, by the way, do you have three;-))?

    Kind regards!
