I woke up early with +Brian Matiash to head over to Angkor Wat and photograph the sunrise. We got up early, before 4:00 am, and were the very first people there, which was excellent because we got the primo spot with the best view (our guide was very kind to lead the way). :)

Just before the sun started to rise and color flooded the sky, the waterside was also flooded … with people. We knew to expect this, but it was ridiculous how many people come out this early to get a peek at the sun rising behind the temple. I don’t blame them, it was spectacular.

Afterwards we walked around the temple and even had our photo taken with a monk. :) I’m really loving it here, the Khmer people are incredibly friendly and hospitable, it’s such a lovely country.
