Our first day in Cambodia was awesome. We went to the market, where I was in foodie/photographer heaven. I brought the iPhone along and got a few pics to quickly share. I’ll have plenty more to share from the SLR to share down the road, too.

After the market we all took a cooking class and learned how to make pineapple curry soup and green mango salad. It was so good, I learned a few techniques and have some things added to my “cooking supplies wish-list” (including a solid mortar and pestle). The food was delicious, and I have a feeling it will be a new favorite in our home :)

More to come … I have two solid weeks in country so I’ll be pretty busy with the camera.

We loved the food in Cambodia! Even 20 years later I can smell the fresh bread being carried down the river in baskets, the crispy fish and all of the amazing smells in the market. Are you in Phnom Penh?
