I just started working on my next book with Peachpit and was sifting through my Lightroom library for images for the book. I made my way to last year’s folder and found some images I took at the lavender fields in Utah with +David Daniels. And then I got inspired … and found myself working on an image I should have processed a year ago.

I think it’s easy for us to zone in on one or two images we fall in love with right away and then neglect the rest of them. Our vision, taste and experience in the selection process also changes over time, which can make it an interesting experience to look through them months (or years) later.

This kind of makes me wonder how many gems are still in my library, and there’s a good chance I’ll find more during my search for book photos. Time to continue the treasure hunt. :)
