This week is BlogHer Food here in Seattle! Here’s a pic from a recent stock shoot … I thought it would be appropriate to put a food image in my post. :) I’m pretty excited because this is my first food conference (most of the conferences I go to are very heavy in the photography and Photoshop sides of things). I’m hoping to learn more about the food blogging side of things and also make some new connections. And I’ll be bringing my camera along and will document what I can … it should be a really fun and educational weekend.

BTW, I’ll also be at IFBC 2012 in Portland, OR in August. It’s a good year for food, photography and travel :) If you’re going to be at either one of these conferences please let me know, and come say “hello” if you see me!

I hope you had a great time at the conference. What’s your opinion of the conferences that you’ve attended so far? I’ve yet to attend a photography focused conference or official event but would like to in the future. I’m particularly interested in the Food & Wine Festival being held here in NYC in October and hope I’ll be able to attend.

I love shrimp and this dish looks really good. What is the white stuff under the shrimp? It looks like it might be risotto or something along those lines.

Nicole- this is a GORGEOUS shot. I can’t wait to rest up and then hit my photography studies hard! I know your book is going to be such a huge help. Thanks again for hanging out with me. I had such a great time and it was so nice being able to get to know you. I hope we can meet up soon!

Nicole, so great to meet you at the conference. I just purchased your book and cannot wait to dive in. Your photos are fantastic, I hope I can turn out pics that are even a tenth as good as these. So glad I ran into you!
