I’m in Moab this week, hanging out at Arches National Park with my friend Dave. Last night we stayed up late photographing the stars … I think I got a few keepers (I’ll share them after I get home). I’ve always been fascinated with the stars and astronomy, and this is a great place to actually see stars in the sky. It’s been a long time, since I’m usually too close to city lights to see very much. At one point while waiting for a 10-minute exposure to finish, I was lying on my back, just staring straight up at the night sky. It was awesome.

Along with star photography, I also have a fancy timelapse-rig my friend Harley put together and I’m testing it out for him. Hopefully I’ll get it working and can share some fun timelapse, along with some video from my GoPro. We’ll see :) … I’m doing my best to enjoy my time here and not make it too structured, or give myself too many expectations. Catch y’all on the flip-side!
