It’s early morning right now in Cambodia, but my normal wakeup has been 4 am since I arrived. It’s refreshing to be up so early; yesterday we took advantage of it and got on a boat out to a place called Silk Island. We saw women weaving hand-made silk textiles, made a few purchases, and then proceeded to have a wonderful time drinking coconut water, fresh mango and papaya, and chatting with the owner. It was such a great experience :) Then we went to another market, and I busted out the 100 macro to find more photographs.

Today we are all making out way to Battambang, and will definitely be stopping along the way to photograph whatever catches our eyes. I’m really excited for the road-trip, since it’s usually where I tend to find the more interesting images. It’s nice to get a little outside of the city and away from the tourists and see the lesser-known beauties of this country.
