Hot Air Balloon

Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 14mm f/2.8L II lens, 1/400 sec at f/6.3, ISO 400
This is another one of my favorites from the Provo Hot Air Balloon festival. I was standing next to the balloon just as it was taking off, and got the man giving a quick wave to the crowd below. I think my next venture will be actually taking a ride in a hot air balloon … it would be a neat way to get some aerial shots of a city! :)

Very very different view, amazing!
Hi Nicole,
Did you upgrade from 7D to 5D mkii? Wondering how you like the Canon system vs Nikon in regards to the white balance and colours in general.
I’m a nikon shooter but I seem to be drawn to the look of canon for wb and colour.
Michael, I got a great deal on a used 5D MkII from a friend. I’ve been wanting to add a full-frame to my camera gear, especially when using wide lenses like in this shot. It seems I enjoy the camera more than I expected! I still use my 7D, usually when I want to use a zoom lens and crop in tighter than the 5D will let me.
