On Monday, July 19 I’ll be giving away three signed copies of my new book, Canon 7D: From Snapshots to Great Shots, right here on my blog! If you win I’ll sign the book and ship it directly to you (U.S. only).

Love reading your photo blog. It’s one of my daily reads. I appreciate the straight forward approach you bring. I’ve been teaching myself to “shoot” by consuming everything I can get my hands on. It’s been one year and I’m not satisfied with where I’m at, so I guess that means I need your book!

From the title, I’d guess this book is aimed at amateurs wanting to learn how to use DSLRs, not pros looking for 3rd party comprehensive guide to the 7d. Is that accurate?

I am sure that I could use this book to improve my photography even though I photograph with a Canon 5DII and a Nikon D300. Oh and a film camera. Oh, and a Nikon D90. Oh, wait, do point and shoot cameras count?

I have your book and although I haven’t tried the challenges yet, I’m very excited to get started.
I purchased the 7D to take to Israel, my pictures were so unforgettable I tried to blame it on the camera, then I decided to read the user guide, which lead to an Amazon search to your book and of all the books I purchased so far, around 10, yours is what I was looking for.
Even though I am a nikon user I”ve been following your blog for quite sometime, and all of your posted info has actually improved my hobby a lot. Thanks for everything, especially for being a teacher.
